Pen-y-ghent 28/06/2020

My plan for today was to go to the Lake's but with high wind and rain decided on going to North Yorkshire and have walk up Pen-y-ghent.

Starting from Horton in Ribblesdale (car park £4,80 all day) I meet up with Liam, full waterproof's where the order of the day. Taking the three peaks route we went out of Horton in Ribblesdale and made our way up the well walked path up to short scramble onto Pen-y-ghent. Once on the summit we had full hill cloud and visibility was down to about 20m on our descent we had look at Hull Pot cave area this was in full flow due to the rain we have had. This was amazing to see and made for some good pictures. The weather was not giving up and the wind and rain had been full on now for over 3 hrs, from Hull Pot cave we where soon back at the car park and drying off.

Still managed over 10k with the circle walk and good number of people also having walk up Pen-y-ghent despite the poor weather we had for the day.
